May

May 30, 2012, 4: 27 pm at T Street
Water Temperature: 66 Degrees Air Temperature: 70 Degrees
There is no swell and the sun was shining. There was almost no wind, and the water seemed clear from the bridge. The kelp beds have not seemed to move at all since a week ago.
Swell Size: 0-1 feet, looks like a lake.
Tides: 1st High: 4:25 am  1st Low: 10:19 am  2nd High: 4:56 pm  2nd Low: 11:48 pm
On wednesday the ocean looked amazing. It was summer time down at t street. Everything occuring reminded me of summer. There was a pod of swimmers swimming about 25 yards from the shore, people were learning how to surf, the girls were out, squirells were sqattering around food, birds flying over head, and the lifegurads were on duty making sure everyone was safe. Even the waves reminded me of how most summers in orange county are typically like.

April

April 28, 2012, 4: 55 pm at T Street
Water Temperature: 61 Degrees Air Temperature: 71 Degrees
The sun was out, which gave the water a little clreaity, but overall the wind caused the water to be a little choppy.
Swell Size: 1-2 feet ocasional 3
Tides: 1st High: 12: 33 am 1st Low: 8: 33 am 2nd High: 3: 52 pm 2nd Low: 8: 26 pm
When I was taking my video of T Street, I noticed that there were alot more beach goers along the beach due to the increase in air temperature. The amount of surfers has gone up as well, most likly because the waters have been warmer in the past week. I saw a few more birds then usual in a huddle. Overall, in spite of the clouds and little wind, a day like the 28th of April would be a great day to go relax at the beach. Waves looked pretty good too.

March

March

March 25, 2012, 1: 30 pm at T Street
Water Temperature: 58 Degrees Air Temperature: 61 Degrees
Weather Conditions were stormy and rain pouring down with unconsistent winds
Surprisingly, the water did not appear stormy, however, slightly choppy.
Swell Size: 2-3 feet
1st Low: 5:40 am  1st High: 11:44 am  2nd Low: 5:09 pm  2nd High: 11:27 pm
While looking out into the water, it was not very inviting to go out surfing. However, there was one surfer out, and due to the winds, there were two wind surfers cruising in the line up. I saw a fish jump out of the water, and I did not see any birds and people were at the beach, but they were not out in bathing suits. People were walking along the trail that is along the sand. After the storms, I will expect there to be kelp bunched up along the lineup.

February

February 26th, 1:24 pm at T Street
Water Temperature: 59 Degrees  Air Temperature: 60 Degrees
Partly Cloudy with a slight onshore breeze
The small swell was a bit mushy because of the tide but glassy waters
Swell Size: 2-3 feet
1st Low: 5:33 am 1st High: 11:19 am 2nd Low: 5:02 pm 2nd High: 11:31 pm
At T Street, there were about 25 surfers out in the water and I am now seeing a few sun bathers on the beaches again. A few seaguls and pigeons flying above. The kelp beds show to hold sea life but unable to identify. Since there is no signs of a storm coming, most birds are looking for food and not going inland as they tend to do go when a storm emerges.
